About
Farooq Malik co-founded Rain in 2021 and is their chief executive. Rain builds stablecoin infrastructure that lets other businesses issue cards and wallets funded by crypto, and was valued at $1.95 billion in January 2026. Before Rain he spent almost six years at the North American Development Bank financing solar and wind projects in the US and Mexico, then, as treasurer, ran their bond issuance and built their green bond program.
