Dave Deno became chief executive of Cracker Barrel in August 2026 and joined their board the same day. Before that he spent twelve years at Bloomin' Brands, arriving in 2012 as chief financial officer and running the company as chief executive from 2019 until he retired. He had spent the fifteen years before Bloomin' at Pizza Hut and Yum Brands, rising to chief financial officer and then chief operating officer of Yum. He is also lead independent director of Krispy Kreme, whose board he joined in 2016.
