Carter Lyons has been co-CEO of Two Sigma, alongside Scott Hoffman, since September 2024, when co-founders John Overdeck and David Siegel stepped back from the role. He joined the firm in 2011 as head of investor relations and later became chief business officer. In that job he worked with the heads of the investment management and private investment businesses to launch products and build partnerships. He chairs Venn, Two Sigma's portfolio analytics platform. Before Two Sigma he spent thirteen years at BlackRock, finishing as a managing director.
